Karukurichi N. Shashikiran’s talents were discovered when he was a toddler. At two, he stormed the music world as a child prodigy who could identify Ragas, demonstrate complicated Talas and answer other technical questions pertaining to Carnatic music. Chhannulal Mishra is an Indian classical singer who excels in Hindustani classical music especially Khayal and Purab Ang Thumri. He was born on 3rd August 1936 in Hariharpur at Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. His grandfather Gudai Maharaj was a tabla player. He has two brothers, Viswanath Mishra, the tabla player and Shivji Mishra, Kathak dancer.
